Job Description
Objective of the Position: Manage all new product launch manufacturing activities for the plant primarily focusing on procurement and design of new tooling and equipment and launch of same in new processes within new and existing EETAM facilities.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
Provide cost estimates for new program tooling and equipment
Procure all tooling and equipment required for production of new product
Ensure Design For Manufacturing and feasibility reviews held with cross-functional team applying latest standards
Apply all APQP principles, focusing primarily on PFMEA and control plan, required for successful launch of new product and processes
Create line mapping and processes in accordance with Lean manufacturing best practices including Plan for Every Part
Lead tooling and equipment installation and debug activities
Manage pre-production build events
Lead resolution of dimensional and process quality issues
Ensure all processes meet or exceed planned TACT times in accordance with business case assumptions
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile:
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum 7 years Automotive Manufacturing experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience with new model launches
Working knowledge of APQP systems and processes
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in SAP.
Technical Expertise:
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
