Job Description
A Chemical QC Laboratory Technician role in Saint Gabriel, Louisiana is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Science. In this role, you will perform QC laboratory chemical analysis to support production units. This includes analysis of process intermediates, pesticide active ingredients, agricultural formulations, raw materials, residual impurities, and environmental products. The test methods, in most part, are established and routine. Report results to production units from which the samples originated. Follows all procedures and requirements to ensure full compliance with the site Quality Management System, and manufacturing and quality control specifications.
Please note that this a minimum 6-month to 1-year contact/temp position starting in May 2025. The hourly pay range is $30.00-35.00/hr. depending on your level of experience.
Work Hours: 12 hours rotating shift. 4 am – 4 pm and 4 pm – 4 am. Shift work is required, which includes weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Perform QC laboratory chemical analysis to support production units. This includes analysis of process intermediates, pesticide active ingredients, agricultural formulations, raw materials, residual impurities, and environmental products.
Report results to production units from which the samples originated.
Follows all procedures and requirements to ensure full compliance with the site Quality Management System, and manufacturing and quality control specifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum four-year college degree with science major (chemistry degree desired), or high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years industrial QC laboratory experience and knowledge of instrumentation.
Analytical procedures (SOPs), operation and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and equipment (GC, HPLC, viscometer, densitometer, particle size analyzer, pH meter, titration), good housekeeping and laboratory practices, QA/QC procedures, SPC, and computer operation.
Laboratory equipment operation and instrumentation troubleshooting skills, project planning, proper documentation, effective communication, basic math, use of Microsoft Office programs.
