CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist Chicago Ridge, IL

Currently looking for a trainable CNC Machinist to fill a second shift direct hire opening with a company in the Chicago Ridge, IL area. Interested candidates should have at least entry level CNC Machinist training.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist

At our client's expense, be willing to be trained on Swiss and Citizen CNC machining centers during normal working hours during your first 8 weeks

Prepare to work on 3-axis mills, 5-axis mills, horizontal mills, dual-spindle lathes with live tooling and 5-axis machine centers (mill head with turning turret)

Set-up, program and operate your own CNC machines

Inspect your own parts off of your own machines using micrometers and vernier calipers

Parts are used in the medical industry

This is a second shift position from 4:30 pm to 4 am cst Monday to Thursday with an extra 10% pay differential.

OT is generally always available

Requirements of the CNC Machinist

High School Diploma

At least entry level, basic CNC level experience

A college degree especially in an engineering discipline is a plus as this in-house CNC training can be used as a springboard to advance your career with our client long-term as they grow

Compensation of the CNC Machinist

The targeted hourly base salary for this first shift position ranges from $19.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience.
