ROLE AND PURPOSE:

Looking for a results-oriented social media content creator (English and Spanish) who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Will contribute to the strategy to help oversee the activation of social media marketing efforts for feeds such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn, lnstagram and others that reach 160,000 users. The role will be responsible for supporting the overall social media strategy and content creation. The candidate will be able to apply best practices in social media content and engagement through a bilingual and bicultural lens across multiple platforms. Will support the creation of assets, including shooting photography and video content designed specifically for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Stories and Reels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field

Fluent English and Spanish speaker and writer.

Experience:

Valid Minimum of three (2) years of experience in marketing or a related field

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Experience executing strategies across social media and digital marketing platforms

Proven success using social media platforms such as Facebook, X, lnstagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and others

Experience using social media analytics tools

Experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, CapCut and other tools

Experience using social monitoring tools such as Sprout Social, HootSuite, SalesForce or similar

Experience with Facebook Business and Ads Manager

Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

Excellent project management and people skills

Writing (AP Style preferred}, video and photography ability

Strong organizational and communications skills a must

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to prioritize while working on multiple projects

Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Ability to remain flexible

Attention to detail and accuracy

Proactive and resourceful with a "can-do" attitude

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

I. SUPPORT ARLINGTON ISD'S SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY:

Works in collaboration with the social media marketing manager on the district's Facebook, X, lnstagram and LinkedIn pages.

Create and manage a new Facebook page in Spanish to build a stronger knowledge base of programs and services.

Craft engaging English and Spanish daily content (e.g. original text, images, video and HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement.

Monitor social media accounts and respond to questions.

Maintain content calendars and schedules.

Optimize department and school pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the district's social content.

Work in collaboration with the social media marketing manager to create, optimize and analyze paid ads on the district's social media channels.

Assist with video and image capture and editing for content that supports the department's overall strategic vision on our social media platforms.

Establish or maintain workflows for social media projects.

Monitor social media channels for trends and opportunities to enhance the company's online presence.

Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media campaigns with overall marketing goals.

Conduct research on industry trends and audience preferences to optimize social media content

II. SUPPORT DISTRICT SPECIAL EVENTS:

Provide social media support for district special events including Teacher of the Year banquets, Retirement and Years of Service Awards, Wall of Fame, student awards banquets and others

Support campus and district events on social media such as First Day of School, Homecoming's, Veteran's Day, Graduations

III. INTERNAL/ADMINISTRATION:

Become a proficient user of Sprout Social to support the Social Media Marketing Manager and to serve as a back-up social media ambassador during crises.

Attend weekly Content Creation meetings.

Coordinate projects with Senior Graphic Designer.

Identify trends and insights and provide thought leadership to the Social Media Marketing Manager.

Support multiple departments with internal and external projects

IV. MISCELLANEOUS:

Personal Video content creation, supervision of interns, work beyond regular schedule and weekend work required.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Social Media Marketing Manager
