Automation Technician

Job Summary

This position provides Automation-I&E support to South East New Mexico Oil and Gas Operations.

Job Responsibilities

â Work as a team to maintain and install Automation-I&E equipment such as PLC components, Wired and wireless transmitters, Communications equipment, HMI's, etc.

â Safety conscious, Team oriented, Self-starter, works well with minimal supervision

â Responsible for engaging in and promoting a strong safety culture.

â Use SCADA systems to monitor operation.

â Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out process on required equipment.

â Other operations duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required

â Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair PLC's, ABB TotalFlow's, Fisher ROC's, Transmitters, etc.

â Ability to troubleshoot Electrical Circuits and components.

â Knowledge of Communication equipment such as Freewave, XetaWave, RedLion, ABB, Cambium, and Fiberoptic Systems.

â Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

â Proficient in Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.

â Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced facility personnel.

â Understand O&G production equipment and operations.

â Must be able to get certified to work at heights using appropriate fall protection.

â Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.

â Once adequately trained, Contractors will be expected to work a call out rotation. ( Nights, Weekends, Holidays )

â Required to work late as needed

â Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced Automation-I/E personnel.
