TriVector Services, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill our Electrical Integration Engineer position.

Description/Duties:

The position involves assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and some design of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) laboratories. Those labs include the Systems Integration and Test Facility (SITF), Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Software Development Facilities (SDFs) that provide computing and simulation systems to verify the integrated avionics and software for the Space Launch System (SLS) at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The position will require certification in operations including Electrostatic Discharge, Cabling Operator, and Crimping Operations. Activities include, but are not limited to:

Avionics subsystem integration.

Troubleshooting and bug-fixing of simulations and software/hardware integration issues.

Developing software to assist with troubleshooting, on Linux based operating systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.

Must have a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.

Candidate must have at least 15 years of relevant experience, but higher education will be considered in lieu of experience. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D. with a minimum 9 years of experience; Masters with at least 13 years of experience, or a Bachelor's with at least 15 years of experience.

Must possess or be eligible to possess a public trust.

Experience in electronic hardware assembly and testing is required.

Must have the ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing.

The ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and the client is required.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain certifications for various activities such as Overhead Crane/Hoist, Cabling Operator, Crimping Operator, Program Critical Hardware/ Manual Move, Electrostatic Discharge, Scissor Lift, Aerial Platform and Forklift.

Regular attendance and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences is required.

Physical requirements include activities such as lifting computer systems/associated hardware (up to 40 pounds per person) and climbing a ladder or operating a vertical lift (up to 15 feet) to work on the avionics lab.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree from an ABET accredited institution is preferred.

Experience in troubleshooting flight like bus interfaces such as MIL-STD 1553B, RS422, RS485, Compact PCI, PCI Express, Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), Discretes, Analog-Digital, Digital-Analog, etc. in support of launch vehicle avionics HWIL systems integration and test is preferred.

Experience with cable routing and cable testing is highly desired.

Experience writing and executing test procedures, performing electrical fabrication and assembly based on verbal or

written input, and performing troubleshooting of hardware installations is desired.
