Century Engineering, LLC, A Kleinfelder Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Data/GIS Analyst, with a minimum of 10 years of experience, to join the Information & Spatial Solutions Team (IS2). This opportunity is a client-facing position and requires reporting on-site at our client’s office in Annapolis, MD. At this time, the client is offering hybrid on-site/telework schedules but are subject to change based on internal policies.
Under the supervision of client management, the Senior Data/GIS Analyst will be responsible for providing data and analytical support services for projects of various complexities. These services include but are not limited to task development and coordination; requirements gathering; data acquisition, creation, processing, analysis, manipulation, and visualization; database design, development, and maintenance; analytical support and reporting; and cartographic production. Individuals in this position must be detail-oriented, adaptive to changing requirements, and have the expertise to support complex data-related activities. Beyond technical capabilities and experience, candidates must demonstrate the ability work effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders, design and deliver tangible solutions to target business problems, and manage multiple workloads executed through a team-based approach.

Responsibilities:
Analyze existing business processes, systems, and data to solve current problems and identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and capability improvements
Initiate, plan, and manage new data and application development projects to meet client objectives
Manage funnel of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes in alignment with client priorities, and coordinate activity with development team from preliminary design through testing and deployment
Create task scope documents, application requirements and design documents, and test plans
Support the enhancement and extension of enterprise asset management systems
Conduct data gathering, processing, creation, quality review, and analysis from various sources/formats
Ensure data integrity by designing and performing regular, detailed data quality reviews
Compose reports, maps, dashboards and other exhibits for internal and public presentation
Develop and maintain spreadsheet models and templates used to support data capture, analysis, and reporting for critical business processes
Maintain master data in support of critical processes, including: asset inventories, item lists, projects, purchase orders, contracts, accounts, and work orders
Prepare technical reports and data/metadata documentation according to client standards
Administer application accounts and user permissions
Develop and deliver user training
Maintain leading-edge knowledge of technology and offer use cases for exploration
Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor
Occasionally travel to field sites to complete tasks or attend meetings
Qualifications:
B.S. in Data or Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or another relevant field
10+ years of relevant experience (higher degree may be substituted in lieu of some experience)
Advanced-level knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - ArcGIS Pro 3.x, ArcGIS Enterprise (Server/Portal/Experience Builder)
Expertise with Structured Query Language (SQL) for interaction with MS SQL Server and Oracle databases
Experience designing relational database structures including conceptual, logical, and physical data models (ERD)
Experience constructing database standards and integrity measures
Proficiency building complex analytical models and templates using GIS and spreadsheets
Clear and concise written and oral expression in English
Local residency or ability to relocate at your own expense
Desired Skills:
Experience overseeing data and application development assignments
Experience building or operating GIS applications for Asset/Infrastructure Management such as Roadway, Pedestrian, Traffic, Stormwater Management, Safety, Utility, etc.
Expertise in data visualization through mapping, charts, or other graphic methods
Experience designing and building ESRI Web Applications (e.g., Maps, Dashboards, and Experience Builder)
Ability to program/script automations and analytical models using Model Builder, Python (ArcPy), SQL, Arcade
Proficiency using JavaScript for programming web applications
Ability to swiftly shift focus based on client-defined priorities and deadlines
Ability to rapidly reach efficient and effective operation of new technologies

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Equal Pay Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $86,694-$144,685
