About the Role
Cast & Crew is seeking a Frontend Engineer Intern with a passion for UX and design to join our Technology & Product team. This internship offers the opportunity to work on real user-facing features that power critical workflows in the entertainment industry. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and product managers to build intuitive, responsive, and accessible interfaces that serve a wide range of users.
What You’ll Do
Contribute to the design and development of modern frontend applications using React (or similar frameworks)
Collaborate closely with UX designers to implement pixel-perfect, accessible, and responsive user interfaces
Translate wireframes and high-fidelity designs into clean, reusable components
Work with backend developers to integrate APIs and data into the frontend
Participate in agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Help improve user experience through thoughtful interaction design and usability enhancements
Contribute to UI testing, bug fixes, and frontend performance optimizations
Assist in maintaining design system consistency across applications
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or a related field
Solid foundation in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Familiarity with modern frontend libraries or frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
An eye for design details — spacing, alignment, responsiveness, and visual hierarchy
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and asynchronous data handling
Comfort with Git and version control workflows
Strong communication skills and a user-centered mindset
Eagerness to learn and contribute to real product experiences
Nice to Have
Experience with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and semantic HTML
Knowledge of CSS-in-JS or component libraries like MUI, Tailwind, or Styled Components
Exposure to frontend testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library)
Interest in animation or micro-interaction design
Basic understanding of design systems or component-driven development

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour.
