Senior Scrum Master

TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector. In addition to a global, extensive and diverse energy data library, TGS offers specialized services such as advanced processing and analytics alongside cloud-based data applications and solutions.We are seeking a senior level Scrum Master to oversee the delivery of Agile projects for a key development team. Responsibilities include coaching other teams on Agile methodologies, Lean practices, and iterative delivery. The role involves process oversight, promoting transparency, and facilitating collaboration across departments. The individual will be expected to identify and remove obstacles at multiple organizational levels to improve operational efficiency. Additional duties include contributing to the company’s Agile transformation efforts and supporting long-term scalability objectives.

Duties and responsibilities:

Play a critical leadership role in facilitating all aspects of the Scrum framework, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to support TGS' energy services across the energy spectrum, through innovation and data-driven solutions.

Coach and influence all levels within the organization to foster increased agility, velocity, predictability, innovation, and quality.

Lead Agile transformations, employing a blend of traditional and cutting-edge Agile methods and tools to empower teams to rapidly deliver high-value functionality that enhances customer satisfaction.

Ensure effective interaction and coordination with other Agile teams for the development of a minimal viable product.

Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning, and backlog grooming sessions.

Monitor, document, and report on team health, velocity, and overall project progress.

Resolve or escalate team issues, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.

Drive best practices in Agile and Scrum methodologies, emphasizing collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.

Maintain Scrum team capacity plans, Scrum boards, and sprint backlogs, ensuring clarity and transparency in project objectives.

Identify and remove impediments, shielding the team from external distractions and interference.

Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Proactively manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely communication and escalation when necessary.

Lead and mentor the team in Agile practices, driving continuous improvement and adaptation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and financial oversight.
