The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will help drive our commitment toward a reliability centered maintenance program, focused on continuous improvement. This position will utilize strategic reliability methods to optimize equipment uptime and reduce repetitive failures. This position will monitor equipment, collect data and utilize engineering tools to develop solutions for eliminating potential failures and improve machine performance through reliability centered maintenance initiatives. This role involves the development and implementation of robust reliability engineering strategies, plans, and processes, with a keen focus on driving initiatives to elevate our reliability practices.
Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate maintenance reliability practices and initiatives to improve equipment performance
Identify and eliminate chronic/repetitive equipment failure points using reliability centered maintenance tools
Analyze equipment data using CMMS software to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Work cross-functionally with the engineering, maintenance and production teams
Improve equipment inspection and preventative maintenance processes
Provide technical advice and troubleshooting on equipment and machinery. Hands-On approach.
Develop work procedures/Troubleshooting guidelines for sustaining equipment reliability
Implement new systems requiring lean & continuous improvement techniques applied to the manufacturing operations
Conduct FMEA, Safety risk analysis, KAIZEN Blitz and similar activities
Utilize CMMS software to manage facility assets and document preventative and corrective work orders, and manage cost of repairs(equipment), downtime/uptime, and parts inventory
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university.
At least 10 years’ experience as a Reliability Engineer, or equivalent position
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program experience
Knowledge and experience using reliability methodologies such as FMEA and Root Cause analysis to mitigate equipment issues
Experience using CMMS software system to manage equipment tasks, costs, parts, etc.
Experience using Kaizen events to evaluate and improve critical assets
Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing equipment and machinery
Experience with lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement strategies
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High level of knowledge and experience with manufacturing equipment and machinery
Extrusion or injection molding experience is a plus
Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
Reliability Centered Maintenance Certification, or equivalent
Proficiency with Solid Works or other CAD tools.
