Temporary Summer Maintenance or Groundskeeper

Responsibilities: * Performs minor maintenance, repair, alteration to buildings, room painting and touch ups.

* Performs grass cutting, edge trimming, exterior debris collection, and plant bed maintenance.

* Assists in the painting of vacated student housing and university facilities.

Qualifications: * Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalency.

* No experience in maintenance or grounds is required.

* On the job training will be provided to include appropriate safety practices.

* Ability to perform tasks in room size spaces and residential lawns.

* Ability to handle exposure to: dirt, dust, and grease, electricity, and climatic weather.

Equipment that has moving parts and loud noise.

* Physical Requirements: ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
