Overview We are currently looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join the EaglePicher team.

This position will provide EHS leadership and technical expertise to support the development, implementation and maintenance of a safe working environment and safety culture.

Provides ongoing regulatory compliance and process excellence.

The EHS Manager will develop a systematic and organized approach to provide ongoing EHS regulatory compliance and process excellence.

Responsibilities * Responsible for knowing and driving compliance with all Federal, State and Local environmental standards and regulations at for multiple facilities, processes, hazards, states, materials, etc.• Leads EHS efforts to build a safe work culture and partners closely with site leadership and management staff to create a safe working environment and minimize operational risk.• Evaluate and analyze key performance indicators to determine trends and the need for modifications, continuous improvement opportunities and/or development of EHS policies, procedures, and standards • Responsible for managing workers' compensation and property risk.

Includes training individuals on proper safeguards including PPE, monitoring the work environment for safety risks, recommending corrective actions and assisting the business with implementation.

• Responsible for oversight of Hazardous Waste and Wastewater Treatment programs.

• Partners with Plant Manager to drive a safety-oriented culture, participates actively in a team-oriented atmosphere, in implementing safety programs and training.

Creates a proactive strategy to prevent safety incidents, raise safety awareness, increase engagement, lower incident rates and drive change.

• Writes, implements, manages and communicates best in class EHS programs, policies and procedures and ensures adoption of them across facilities, as applicable.• Routinely manages EHS Meetings, such as monthly Safety Committee and Safety All-Hands meetings.

• Assist in the development of EHS training programs and in the administration of the EHS learning management system.

Includes training individuals on proper safeguards including PPE, monitoring the work environment for safety risks, recommending corrective actions and assisting the business with implementation.• Walks the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and provide support.

Establishes and maintains methodologies and strategies that help institute safety awareness and culture such as regular Gemba walks on the manufacturing floor.• Completes and maintains relevant EHS logs and documentation for assigned facility.• Assists with design and installation of environmental, safety and manufacturing equipment to ensure a safe and environmentally sound facility.• Perform New Hire Safety Orientation training.• Conducts compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support health, safety and environmental management.• May respond to emergency situations during standard work hours and after hours for the purpose of remediating EHS concern.

• Oversees the Emergency Response Team (ERT), medical emergency responses that provides first aid treatment, and evacuation, shelter-in-place, and medical drills.• Conducts detailed investigations and root cause analysis as well as makes resolutions and recommendations.• Implements corrective actions and continuous improvement activities as required.• Maintains positive and proactive relations with leadership team, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications * Professional EHS certification or the desire to attain certification (CSP) is strongly preferred.• 5 or more years of experience in an EHS management position.• 40 hour HAZWOPER, CPR/First Aid, HAZMAT, RCRA, and OSHA 30 hour trainings preferred.• Massachusetts Level 4 Wastewater Treatment operator license preferred.• Strong communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and influence management skills.• Strong computer skills.• Knowledge of Worker's Compensation laws and best practices.• Ability to commute between multiple sites.• U.S.
