ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL - CB - FULL-TIME - DAY SHIFT

STARTING RATE: D.O.E.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver's License and D.M.V. Driving History Printout

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the head professional in overall golf shop operations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Individuals must have basic computer skills, and the ability to learn new applications, methods of transacting business, and be outstanding in providing service to our customers and fellow employees. Must have experience and general knowledge of the game of Golf. Must have previous money handling experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for scheduling and supervision of player services personnel and also for the daily play, log sheets, and receipts.

Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing department in all Golf related activities and tournaments.

Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating of employees; inventories, displays, tournament operations, and group outings.

Maintain the GHIN handicap system and the tournament computer software and supplies in the highest order to provide top quality events.

Actively participate in all facets of golf instruction including private lessons, clinics and schools.

Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and the lifting of moderately heavy objects. The work may require above average strength, agility and dexterity.

WORK CONDITIONS:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, carts, or machines. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
