Job Description
Using minimal supervisory direction, a Prevention Coordinator is responsible for initiating, conducting, and coordinating substance use prevention activities, with an emphasis on adolescent prevention, in coordination with other Tribal, State, and Federal agencies. This job requires independent judgement and a high level of interpersonal skills.
Requirements
This job requires ongoing, specialized knowledge of substance abuse prevention research. Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education or related field. Five years experience in youth or family orientated social service. Certification as a Prevention Specialist or as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor is required or through past educational and work history demonstrate the ability to obtain such certification within 24 months of being hired. Must have valid Oregon Driver's License, pre-employment drug test. Will be required to submit and pass a criminal background check with Federa, Tribal and State Law Enforcement.
