SUMMARY

Arcticom, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Senior Configuration Manager for the Ground Based Air Defense Engineering and Logistics Contract at Quantico, VA. The Configuration Manager will be required to manage and direct program configuration management activities and direct team members in configuration baseline processes and procedures. Expected to design and implement tests that check the quality and functionality of products. Participate in all phases of testing which includes determining the exact procedure to troubleshooting errors and communicating recommendations for improvement to the rest of the team. Provides direct support by managing the hardware configurations across the Family of Systems including CCB planning, execution, and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and provide the administration of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) process to ensure compliance with regulations

Develop, maintain, and document CM plans, policies and procedures using proper Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) software and procedures

Update, when necessary, baseline configuration documents and data elements under version control to maintain baseline integrity and support rollback activities (when required)

Define, implement, and integrate configuration management policies and procedures to support the configuration management database (CMDB)

Interface and coordinate with other teams in the organization as necessary to ensure timelines and

Manage the program in meeting the day-to-day compliance with the Configuration Management process, procedures, and work instructions

Train users and communicate with stakeholders on Change management processes

Direct development and maintenance of formal process documents (e.g., procedures, work instructions, and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and charts)

Ensure Quality Assurance, and Security Assessments are implemented within Enterprise Change Requests

Support engineering assessments

Recommend or propose any additional information technology, tools, licenses or additional labor by function and rates to the overall success of the CM function, as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)

This position requires at least 10+ years’ experience in the specific field.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Must have working/applicable CMPro experience

Must be fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

This position requires an Active SECRET security clearance.

Preferred

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

CMPro application training and experience

NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Travel is estimated to be less than 25% of total effort.
