Location: McHenry, IL

Travel: Up to 40%, including offshore assignments

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Service Technician to join our team in McHenry, IL. This position plays a vital role in supporting customers by providing repair, calibration, conversion, training, and demonstration services both in-house and on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections, repairs, and calibrations on tools both in the shop and at customer locations

Travel to customer sites (up to 40% of the time), including offshore, to operate and service tools on-site

Conduct training and demonstrations for customers on tool operation and maintenance

Accurately enter repair and service data into the computer system, including tracking of parts used from inventory

Assist with toolbox fabrication and inventory management tasks

Provide backup support to other positions as needed to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders or scaffolding

Valid driver’s license and the ability to rent vehicles for travel

Willingness and ability to travel for off-site and offshore assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a mechanical, technical, or service-related field

Familiarity with calibration equipment and hand tools

Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
