Salary Range: $27-30/hr

Key Responsibilities:

Read and understand schematics and blueprints

Work closely with designers and engineers in product development

Assemble parts by using hand tools, welding equipment, and machines or other equipment as necessary

Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions

Weld a variety of materials (aluminum, steel, etc.) using mig, tig, and stick welding techniques, according to generally accepted welding practices, determining the kinds of tools and equipment that will be needed based on the specs of the particular job

Fabricate new parts or repair existing parts for trucks, trailers, generators, shop equipment or facilities parts/equipment

Maintain welding and fabrication supplies, informing manager of needed supplies for purchase

Perform general maintenance on welding equipment

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two to three years’ fabrication experience

Two to five years’ welding experience but five to ten years preferred (certification preferred)

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The noise level in the work environment is typical of a warehouse/shop and is usually moderate to loud.

Movements including but not limited to prolonged periods of standing and walking, lifting, bending, reaching, kneeling, etc.

Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk; see; and/or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions

Use proper lifting procedures and techniques

This job may require working evenings, weekends, and outdoors.

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at all times.
