Automation Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Leader to manage a high-performing team, drive innovative control system solutions, and lead complex integration projects from concept to launch.

Position Overview:

Direct and manage the daily operations of the automation team, including technicians and programmers.

Design and develop automation solutions, including control panels, technical documentation, and system specifications.

Lead integration efforts for PLCs, robotics, and HMIsfrom concept through implementation.

Collaborate with clients to define project scope, design control systems, commission equipment, and provide training and support.

Travel as needed for client meetings, site assessments, retrofits, and system startups.

Play a key role in business development and represent the team in strategic initiatives.

Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.

Oversee task delegation and ensure quality and accountability across automation projects.

Project Execution:

Manage multiple high-complexity projects with full responsibility for safety, compliance, and team coordination.

Oversee end-to-end automation work, including electrical design, programming, panel wiring, system startup, and documentation.

Technical Support:

Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues.

Support troubleshooting of hydraulic systems in coordination with electrical controls.

Safety & Compliance:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety protocols and enforce standards across the team.

Approve safety-related designs and lead safety training initiatives for the automation group.
