In partnership with the Director of Learning and Development, support the development and execution of the Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) strategy (30%). In collaboration with L&OD team members, support and drive priorities aligned to the overarching strategic plan to design and champion equitable, science-based policies to support the removal of legacy carbon emissions from the atmosphere (10%). Manage the L&OD process by providing day-to-day project support and coaching (10%). Design, facilitate, and lead an onboarding curriculum for new employees, current employees, and external partners, to equip them with up-to-date carbon removal science and policy knowledge leveraging multi-modal and experiential approaches (10%). Organize, support, and facilitate conferences, workshops, and events to bring together environmental justice leaders, policymakers, startups, and scientists to learn about carbon removal and discuss meaningful, equitable, and just implementations (10%). Lead the creation and execution of an equitable and inclusive internship and fellowship program, including the creation and implementation of a Carbon Dioxide Removal-driven curriculum, cross-organization collaboration, and recruitment and community creation (10%). Facilitate knowledge management, production, and exchange; provide oversight for external partnerships with local organizations, universities, and school districts to diversify the climate policy sphere (10%). Maintain and co-cultivate the Carbon180 culture in collaboration with the strategy and operations team through leading weekly team meetings, monthly team meetings, and organization-wide quarterly offsite meetings (5%). Identify diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice needs and oversee the organization of organization-wide learning opportunities and trainings through practice and integration curriculums (5%).

May telecommute from any location in the US. Domestic travel (team retreats): 2-4 trips per year, 1 week or less.

24 months of experience as an Operations Associate, Training and Development Specialist, or related. Must have 12 months experience (simultaneous and concurrent with the experience required above) at a non-profit organization, including: working on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Justice (DEIBJ) programs to support the organizational development strategy of a company; creating and implementing organizational learning experiences and strategies; creating and conducting trainings with individuals and large groups; collaborating with internal and external partners; handling the logistics for small to medium scale events; and supporting company operations by coordinating schedules and managing organizational systems, including payroll, timesheets, and leave.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies or related/equivalent
