Description A Brief Overview The Fitness Center Member Sales Representative is responsible for driving membership sales and achieving sales targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role involves engaging potential members, providing information about the fitness center's offerings, and converting leads into loyal members.What You Will DoSales and Membership Acquisition: • Actively seek out and engage potential members through tours, outreach, and follow-up calls.
• Conduct informative and persuasive sales presentations to prospective members, highlighting the benefits and features of the fitness center.
• Handle membership inquiries and provide detailed information about membership options, pricing, and promotions.
• Close sales and achieve monthly and quarterly membership sales goals.Customer Experience: • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering personalized service and addressing member needs and concerns.
• Provide tours of the facility, demonstrating equipment, classes, and amenities to potential members.
• Follow up with new members to ensure a smooth onboarding process and address any initial questions or issues.Marketing and Promotion: • Assist in implementing marketing campaigns and promotional offers to attract new members and retain current ones.
• Participate in community events, fitness fairs, and other outreach activities to promote the fitness center.
• Maintain and update marketing materials, such as brochures and digital content, to reflect current offers and promotions.Administrative Duties: • Process membership applications, contracts, and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports and performance metrics to management.Team Collaboration: • Work closely with the member services team, fitness trainers, and management to ensure a cohesive approach to member acquisition and retention.

Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.Qualifications EducationHigh School Equivalent / GED (Required) Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Preferred) Work Experience1+ years Experience in the customer service or sales setting, including experience in conflict resolution, budgeted sales quotas or goals, retaining strategies, and marketing.
(Preferred) 2+ years Experience in the health and fitness industry (Preferred) 2+ years Sales experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proven sales experience, preferably in a fitness or service-oriented industry.
(Required proficiency) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills.
(Required proficiency) Strong ability to handle objections and close sales effectively.
(Required proficiency) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with software.
(Required proficiency) Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
