The Order Selector provides an excellent agency experience through professional, courteous, and friendly interactions. This position safeguards and promotes the Foodbank’s commitment to food safety and requires a high degree of integrity, service, excellence, and urgency in all related matters. This position interacts daily with Network Partner Agencies to assist in the distribution process having primary responsibility for picking agency orders daily and preparing for distribution in the warehouse. Hourly Rate: $19 per hour; M-F, 10am-6pm.

Job Responsibilities:

Pick agency orders and place in the staging area for distribution

Operate tow motor, lift truck, and/or pallet riders to assist in the distribution of goods to agencies

Deliver an exceptional customer experience by demonstrating commitment to excellence and service while interacting with agencies

Provide professional, courteous, and friendly interactions with employees and agencies

Perform daily housekeeping as directed by warehouse leadership

Perform other duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma with basic math skills.

Must be able to follow all American Institute of Baking, Feeding America, Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Occupational Safety Hazard Administration, and Foodbank (standard operating procedures and employee handbook) safety regulations

Must be able to count and have basic math skills to bin slot product.

Commitment to outstanding customer service.

Ability to work effectively and patiently with employees, donors, vendors, and customers.

High level of interpersonal skills is required.

Ability to produce quality work with accuracy.

Must be able to operate or be trained to operate a pallet jack or tow motor; must pass OSHA testing for lift truck operation.

Must have basic computer knowledge.

Warehouse and dock experience, preferred.

Punctual, dependable, and flexible to work overtime, as needed.

Ability to maintain accurate records or metrics.
