SUMMARY:

The Controller position is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple divisions within Synova Group. This position requires a highly experienced and strategic financial professional with a proven track record of managing complex financial landscapes, driving process improvements, and providing valuable insights to support business growth. The Controller will partner closely with divisional leadership and the COO to ensure financial health, compliance, and strategic alignment across Synova Group. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Leadership and Strategy:

Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

Provide strategic financial guidance and support to leadership, aligning financial goals with overall company objectives.

Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash flow.

Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working collaboratively with division heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance across divisions, providing regular reports to senior management.

Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Prepare and present financial reports to the COO and other executives, providing clear and concise explanations of financial performance.

Operational Finance and Control:

Manage and mentor divisional finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Ensure the implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Drive process improvements to streamline financial operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

Establish a rapport with the bank and address their inquiries or requirements.

Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.

Demonstrate skills in reading, writing, and speaking the English language fluently.

Implement risk management measures to avoid and/or ameliorate risky practices, non-practices/incorrect practices or violations of any sort.

Must be adaptable, have self-motivation, and strong follow-through skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles preferably in a multi-divisional company.

3-5 years of supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proven ability to lead and manage finance teams, with a focus on developing talent and driving performance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
