Location: Houston, TX

** Must have Commercial Construction Experience

Currently seeking a Senior Estimator on behalf of a leading construction firm based in Houston, TX. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for an experienced professional who excels in developing large-scale bid proposals, leading estimating teams, and supporting operations through accurate cost evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor junior estimators in the development of complex bid proposals

Oversee quantity take-offs and ensure accuracy of materials, labor, and time calculations

Manage communication and pricing negotiations with vendors and subcontractors

Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for high-value construction projects

Support operations team by transitioning awarded projects from pre-construction to execution

Provide cost evaluations for change orders during project lifecycle

Maintain safety as a core value and comply with all safety policies

Participate in training and certifications as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction estimating

Proven track record of managing large proposals and mentoring junior staff

Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
