Instrumental & Electrical Technician
Job Description: The position will provide Electrician and Instrument Technician services to Sandow Lakes Ranch, located in Milam County Texas.
Job Responsibilities: The employee will be required to provide electrical trouble shooting, minor electrical construction, controls and instrumentation troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, and preventative maintenance.
Required Skills:
LV Electrical:
Troubleshoot and repair motor starters and associated controls
Troubleshoot and repair VFD’s.
Install conduit and cable systems
Install and maintain lighting systems
Understand electrical safety and arc flash hazards
Know how to use NEC
MV Electrical
Know how to operate MV switchgear and starters
Rack out and isolate MV systems
Understand safety grounding
HV Electrical
Understand or be willing to learn how to use live line tools and safety aspects associated with this use
Operate HV switches and breakers
Understand power flows and hazards associated with switching HV electrical
Computer
Be able to use email
Be able to use Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Understand or be willing to learn comms to TCP/IP devices and computers
Preferred Skills:
PLC Systems:
Understand and troubleshoot ladder logic and function block programs
Troubleshoot and replace hardware such as I/O cards, power supplies
Understand tag structure and communication to devices
Instrumentation:
Understand process variables and measurement with instrumentation
Troubleshoot 4-20 mA loops
Understand instrument calibration
Understand smart transmitter protocol such as HART, Profibus, etc.
Understand and use Scada software
Understand or be willing to learn how to trouble shoot SCADA systems
Understand or be willing to learn programming of Scada systems
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel
Working knowledge of SCADA
Familiarity with operation of water treatment processes and distribution systems
High energy and self-motivated with a sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, to consistently meet or be ahead of deadlines
United States Citizen or capable of getting permanent work VISA within 3 years of hire date
Philosophies Required for Success:
The I&E Technician will work as part of a team and will be required to communicate and collaborate with other team members.
The I&E Technician needs to be a self-starter and be motivated to complete tasks as needed to keep electrical systems operational. Candidate also needs to be flexible and handle an environment of changing work priorities.
