Summary of Position:

The Visual Communications Designer is responsible for designing high-impact, brand-aligned materials that support both internal and external communication goals. This role brings complex ideas to life through compelling layouts, infographics, reports, light video editing, and digital content, helping to unify messaging across platforms.

As a mid-to-senior member of the marketing and communications team, this role leads the design execution of major visual initiatives, contributes to brand evolution, and ensures consistency across campaigns, corporate communications, and web properties. The designer also develops scalable systems and design templates to empower internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

3-5 years of professional design experience (in-house or agency)

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro or After Effects)

Experience creating visual layouts for reports, presentations, and marketing collateral

Basic video editing capabilities and understanding of motion graphics principles

Understanding of brand systems and experience maintaining brand consistency

Familiarity with mobile-first design and website updates (no coding required, HTML/CSS familiarity a plus)

Portfolio demonstrating a range of work, including both print and digital projects

Primary Responsibilities:

Owns the visual development of brand-aligned materials across Liberty and its related brands.

Collaborates with internal teams and content specialists to align visual strategy with messaging goals.

Leads design and UX (in partnership with content owners) for website updates, emphasizing mobile-first and user-centered design.

Develops and maintains design templates, brand assets, and scalable visual systems.

Edits and produces light video content for social media, internal use, or events.

Supports campaign execution with compelling on-brand visuals.

Contributes to the evolution of brand expression and visual guidelines.

Manages creative projects from concept to final production, including proofing and vendor coordination when needed.

Identifies and proposes new ways to enhance visual communication across departments.

Maintains and organizes graphic design files, templates, and asset libraries.

Stays up-to-date with design and company industry trends – continually learns about new trends, best practices, and developments in the company’s industry to ensure that visual communications remain relevant and effective.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.

Salary:

$65,000/YR - $90,000/YR

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
