Role Overview

Is working with prospects and helping them become customers your passion? Do you love prospecting and finding new opportunities to close a sale? Do you like working with marketing to create new business opportunities? We’d love to talk to you about our Sales Consultant position.

We’re seeking a sales professional to help us meet our growth goals. Someone who loves solving problems understands how to answer prospects’ questions before they come up, and someone who is energized by talking with new people.

A successful sales consultant can find new prospects and work with them throughout the sales journey. They’ll be able to quickly learn new technology and the nuances of defined contribution benefits to coach prospects through their health benefits options. Top candidates should know how to track and report on their work, be receptive to feedback and growth, and collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

Attain sales and activity goals and quotas.

Build and foster positive, ongoing relationships with current and prospective clients through proactive outreach, including email, telephone, virtual meetings, in-person visits, and networking events.

Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and deliver training and sales presentations professionally and effectively.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create and implement sales strategies and marketing campaigns to increase revenue.

Document and maintain records of sales activities, revenue, and client status data.

Maintain a high level of product knowledge to educate and provide product and pricing consultation to clients.

Maintain a high level of understanding and effectively work in various distribution methods and channels, including carrier, association, broker, and direct-to-consumer sales.

Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends, and government regulations.

Participate in the entire sales cycle, from finding a prospect to closing a sale.

Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ dedication and retention.

Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries by telephone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits, as directed, within our corporate standards.

Understand client needs and processes to identify products and solutions to fill the need most effectively.

Utilize prospecting, networking, business development, and cold-calling sales skills to sell and cross-sell products and services proactively.

Support other functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.

One to three years of sales experience demonstrated success in new business and revenue development.

Previous experience with insurance or financial services products and distribution channels

Life, Accident, and Health licensing (obtained within six months)

Medicare certification (obtained within six months)

FFM certification preferred (obtained within six months)

Microsoft, CRM software knowledge and navigation a plus
