QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Guidance & Counseling with School Counseling
Appropriate State of Ohio certifications/license
Experience working with children
Preferred Experience:
· Experience working with High School Students and a strong foundation for building report with students
· Demonstrates a working knowledge and/or experience with scheduling, testing, character education, social emotional learning, career exploration and fosters occasions to support and helps students grow
· Demonstrates a working knowledge of current trends, best practices and innovation related to a comprehensive school counseling program and student support system
· Commitment to building strong relationships with student body that develops excellence and character in STEM and career readiness instruction
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To implement developmentally appropriate and prevention-oriented group activities to meet student educational, personal, social, occupational, placement and related problems in planning and adjustments.
· Works collaboratively with teachers in studying, diagnoses, and understanding students; plan, conduct group guidance activities; utilize community resources; and participate in in-service education.
· Develop and incorporate life skills that students need to be successful in the twenty-first century into their program.
· Collaborates and works with administrative staff and other school personnel in planning, developing and conducting the total guidance program, curriculum study and research.
· Accurately and appropriately uses assessment procedures for determining and structuring individual and group counseling services. Provides appropriate and timely information to school personnel related to student needs.
