Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Chef is responsible for using their culinary expertise to create memorable dishes for members and guests. The Chef leads a team of cooking staff and partners with other members of the front of house team to ensure guests receive their orders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate has previous experience working as a Chef in a bustling, fast-paced restaurant, or entertainment setting.
Responsibilities
Ensure excellent food quality
Plan menu while considering budget and availability of seasonal ingredients
Oversee all kitchen operations
Coordinate kitchen staff and assist as required
Train staff to prepare and cook menu items
Take inventory of ingredients and equipment. Place orders to replenish inventory
Enforce safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
Create new recipes to keep the menu fresh
Keep up to date with industry trends
Inform wait staff about daily specials or shortages
Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Receive feedback and making improvements where necessary
Train new kitchen staff
Follow all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the venue
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
Previous Chef experience required
Excellent oral communication skills required
Advanced knowledge of culinary arts
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
Ability to lead a team
Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
Food Handlers Card
Education
High school diploma or GED
Culinary school degree/diploma preferred

Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
