Work Schedule: Monday and Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (14 hours/weeks)
General Job Description:
The Accounting Assistant works directly with the Director of Business Operations to manage the daily accounting operations for the school, including financial data input and processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and semi-monthly payroll.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Processes account receivables, account payables, and payroll for the school.
Reconciles vendors' monthly statements.
Prepares journal entries and financial reporting.
Prepares and presents accurate and timely financial statements.
Coordinates purchasing processes and maintains inventory.
Communicates with vendors to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of products.
Monitors time and attendance in ADP for all staff, and follows up with the appropriate person to resolve issues.
Maintains vendor relationships, contracts, and coordinates vendor meetings.
Coordinates travel for the Executive Director.
Maintains approved school driver database.
Provides administrative support to the Director of Business Operations.
Participates in special projects as assigned by the Director of Business Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or relevant fields is preferred.
10+ years of experience providing high-level administrative and executive support is required.
3+ years of experience Fund EZ is required.
2+ years of experience with APD is required.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
