Are you an accountant who is an Enrolled Agent or CPA with at least 3-5 years of tax controversy and exam experience? Do you like number crunching, find tax work interesting, and helping taxpayers rewarding? If so, you have come to the right place! Come join our small, friendly, boutique tax litigation law firm of like-minded people. We are located in West Los Angeles and are seeking an accountant who is an active Enrolled Agent or a CPA to work on client cases. Experience as a former IRS Revenue Officer, Revenue Agent, or Auditor is extremely desirable and preferred.
This is a full-time position that can be done mostly remotely, although you must be geographically close enough to Los Angeles to be able to come into our West LA office as needed, and to personally attend audits and other meetings. However, we will consider candidates outside of the Los Angeles area.
This is not a bookkeeping position and does not include any administrative bookkeeping work/duties for our law firm as you will only be working on client cases. There will be some tax preparation in conjunction with our client representation, but there won’t be any late nights during tax season. Experience with personal and corporate tax returns is a must.

$80,000+ yearly DOEResponsibilities:
Highly meticulous, detail-oriented, and accurate.
Ability to complete work with tight deadlines.
Review of client financial documents and preparation of various IRS, FTB, EDD and CDTFA forms/documents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels within the organization. A writing sample will be required.
Very strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel, and QuickBooks .
Experience and ability to prepare personal and business tax returns.
Excellent customer service with the ability to simplify complex tax information for the client.
Professional but friendly demeanor.Qualifications:
CPA License or Accountant who is an Enrolled Agent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of tax collection/controversy/resolution experience.
Former IRS Revenue Officer, Revenue Agent, or Auditor is highly desirable.
Accounting and tax return preparation experience.
