Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a SailPoint QA Tester responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of SailPoint IdentityIQ and IdentityNow solutions through rigorous testing and validation. The ideal candidate will design and execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with development and product teams to ensure that SailPoint applications meet business requirements and provide seamless user experience. This role requires expertise in various testing methodologies and tools to validate IAM solutions effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and functional specifications for SailPoint IdentityIQ and IdentityNow applications.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure SailPoint solutions meet quality and security standards.
Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts, leveraging test automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand application functionality and provide feedback on design and implementation.
Review and analyze requirements and design documentation to ensure thorough test coverage and alignment with business needs.
Evaluate application performance and scalability under various conditions to identify and address potential issues.
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, ensuring transparency and traceability.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, incorporating best practices and lessons learned into future projects.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years focused on testing IAM solutions such as SailPoint IdentityIQ and IdentityNow.
Experience with test case design, test execution, and defect tracking using tools like JIRA, ALM, TestRail, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle management, access certification, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Proficiency in functional, regression, integration, and performance testing methodologies.
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases to validate identity-related data.
Strong understanding of Java, BeanShell, XML, and API testing (e.g., Postman, SOAP UI, or REST-assured) for validating integrations.
Experience testing user provisioning, authentication mechanisms, and role management in IAM environments.
Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, and SailPoint connectors for integrated system testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify edge cases and potential security gaps.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement in QA methodologies and IAM best practices.
