Now Hiring: Data Center Material Handler – Data Center Sparks, NV

Nexeo HR is actively seeking Data Center Material Handlers to support a state-of-the-art data center near USA Parkway in Sparks, NV. This is a high-impact logistics role where you’ll handle shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling for high-tech equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and Inspect Shipments: Verify IT components, server racks, and networking hardware for accuracy and quality.

• Inventory Management: Maintain real-time inventory records using software systems and conduct regular cycle counts, audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

• Shipping & Logistics: Package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments for vendors and internal teams.

• Inspect and Report Equipment Issues: Conduct regular inspections of materials to identify damage, defects, or discrepancies. Promptly document and report any issues.

• Forklift & Material Handling: Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to transport materials.

• Assembly & Equipment Handling: Assist in basic assembly of small components and prepare server racks for deployment.

• Documentation & Compliance: Keep precise logs of inventory, track shipments, and ensure compliance with data center safety protocols.

• Maintain a Safe & Organized Work Area: Adhere to safety policies and keep workspaces clean and efficient.

• Adhere to Industry Standards: Follow company policies and adhere to IT industry standards for the safe handling, storage, and transportation of IT equipment.

Qualifications

• Required: 2+ years of prior experience in warehouse operations, data center logistics, and/or inventory management.

• Required: Some experience operating pallet jack machinery.

• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel.

• Familiarity with inventory management software and tools such as RF Scanner, SAP Systems, etc.

• Must successfully pass a national background check and pre-employment drug screen.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy when documenting material transactions and tracking inventory.

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds or more) and perform tasks that involve prolonged standing, walking, and bending.

• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.

Pay

$23.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Full-Time Day Shift 6:30am – 3:30pm Monday - Friday
