Job Description

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, products, and supplies within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. The role ensures that inventory is properly managed and products are efficiently moved to the appropriate locations, supporting the overall operations of the facility.Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling & Transportation:

Move materials and products to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.

Load and unload materials from delivery trucks, ensuring safe and accurate placement.

Transport materials to production or storage areas as required.

Inventory Management:

Assist in the receiving, checking, and sorting of incoming goods and materials.

Record and track material movements in the inventory system, ensuring accuracy.

Maintain proper organization of materials, ensuring easy access and proper storage.

Conduct routine inventory checks and assist with stocktaking or cycle counting.

Quality Control & Safety:

Inspect materials for defects or damage upon arrival and report discrepancies.

Ensure that materials are stored and handled safely to avoid damage or accidents.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
