Overview
As our Infrastructure Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our hybrid IT infrastructure, encompassing both on-premises and cloud-based environments, as well as managing our IT Help Desk operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our network, systems, and services, and for providing effective and timely technical support to our employees. Your expertise will be crucial in driving our infrastructure strategy and ensuring a positive and productive technology experience for our team.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises data centers and cloud environments ( Azure and GCP)
Design, implement, and maintain our virtual network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
Administer and manage our VMware vCenter environment, including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring
Oversee and troubleshoot network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Develop and implement infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures to ensure security and compliance
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to plan and execute infrastructure projects and upgrades
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for infrastructure-related services and equipment
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Manage Google workspace and Google workspace integrations
Oversee the operations of the IT Help Desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues
Develop and implement help desk procedures and service level agreements (SLAs)
Monitor help desk performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in support processes
Manage the help desk ticketing system and knowledge base
Ensure excellent customer service and user satisfaction with IT support
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure environments
Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing virtual network environments
Extensive experience with VMware vCenter administration and management
Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors
Experience managing and working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience administering Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), including core applications (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides), security settings, and user management
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
