Mainframe Developer

Mainframe Developer Locations: Chandler, AZ (3days onsite weekly) Duration: 12 months – likely to be extended to 24 months based on performance/need Payrate: $60-70/hourly We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and IBMz/OS.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing high-volume, mission-critical mainframe applications within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Day To Day Responsibilities: Work as part of a scrum team - code changes will be assigned as you work through the agile development process Participate in stand-up calls and refinement calls Write, test, and debug code for mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL Provide ongoing support for mainframe applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches and updates to ensure stability Identify and address performance issues Refine and edit code Ensure that mainframe applications adhere to security standards and compliance requirements Must Have: 5-10+ years of experience with Mainframe development 3-4 experience with CICS, COBOL, JCL on an IBMZOS Platform Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment Enterprise level experience Nice To Have: Modernization or migration experience Java or salesforce experience
