Oracle SQL developer

We are actively seeking a skilled Oracle SQL Developer for a 6-month contract role in Bellevue, WA.

The ideal candidate will play a lead role in Oracle-to-Azure SQL / MS SQL migration projects, database optimization, and automation.

This position requires strong technical capabilities in PL/SQL, Oracle GoldenGate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, and SQL.

The candidate should have proven experience in designing and executing complex database solutions in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities & Required Skills: Design and implement OLTP peer-to-peer replication for real-time data synchronization Lead end-to-end Oracle-to-Azure SQL / MS SQL migrations, with a focus on automation and minimal downtime Automate schema conversion, data migration, and validation workflows Perform comprehensive Oracle database assessments, including schemas, stored procedures, indexes, partitions, and performance tuning.

Convert PL/SQL code to optimized T-SQL for Azure/MS SQL platforms Utilize tools such as Oracle GoldenGate, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Azure DMS, DMA, and SSMA for seamless migrations Build scalable, high-availability database architectures in Azure SQL (PaaS) and MS SQL (IaaS/on-prem) Optimize post-migration performance via query tuning, indexing strategies, and partitioning Collaborate with application teams to ensure full compatibility and reduce production downtime Ensure compliance with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) standards to maintain system uptime, data integrity, and business continuity Proactively identify risks and provide actionable mitigation strategies Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
