Manufacturing Company in Carlsbad, CA is looking for a Visual Inspection Technician to join there team. The right candidate will be responsible for the below:
Job Title: Visual Inspection Technician – Sterile Drug Product
Position Overview
This full-time, on-site role supports the visual inspection of liquid injectable pharmaceutical products in compliance with cGMP regulations in a sterile Drug Product Manufacturing environment. The position may also support additional visual inspection-related tasks as needed.
Location: 100% On-Site
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts (excluding lunch break)
Start Time: Flexible between 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM (consistent schedule required)
Additional Hours: Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required
Note: Schedule exceptions must be approved by management in advance
Key Responsibilities
Conduct visual inspections of pharmaceutical and medical products to identify defects or non-conformities
Ensure inspected products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
Accurately document inspection results in batch records and/or electronic systems
Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensure compliance with aseptic and cleanliness standards
Operate and maintain visual inspection booths and equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Report any defective products or process deviations to quality or production leadership
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures
Support inspection and manufacturing readiness activities
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper gowning procedures within inspection areas
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Life Sciences preferred
Experience:
0–2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical inspection or a related regulated environment
Familiarity with cGMP regulations including USP <790>, USP <1790>, and 21 CFR Parts 210/211
Skills & Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to collaborate cross-functionally
High personal integrity, professionalism, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and strong commitment to quality standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Company Description
