Job Description

Job Title: Saw Operator/Machinist

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm M-F

Starting Pay Range: $21.00 to $24.00

Description:

Seeking saw operators/machinists to operate band saws in a small batch repetitive manufacturing

environment.

Saw Operator/Machinist Duties:

Set up bandsaw, adjusting as necessary for each operation.

Load and unload raw material using an overhead crane.

Accurately read and measure cut lengths from work orders.

Monitor saw operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance operations and adjust machine

controls as required.

Produce consistent, quality parts within tolerances of 1/16".

Deburr part edges post-cut.

Machine operators are responsible for fit, finish, and cleaning of each part produced.

Occasional use of extension pole grinder to remove weld seams from the interior surface of

rectangular tubing.

Occasional use of manual press

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ Years of experience in a machine shop environment.

Must be able to operate an automatic band saw.

Must be able to function in a production environment.

Must have proficiency at reading drawings (blueprints).

Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.

Capable of lifting at least 75 lbs., and able to stand for extended periods of time.

Submit to and pass a drug screening.

Submit to and pass a background check.

Additional Useful Skills

Experience with Hydmech and/or HE&M brand horizontal bandsaws.
