Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance and Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in machine shop manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of quality standards, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all dimensional inspections to ensure parts and components meet required specifications

Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles

Use and maintain manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) with accuracy and proficiency

Operate and/or program manual or DNC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and in-process inspections throughout the manufacturing process

Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading

Hands-on experience with manual inspection equipment

Proficient in operating manual or DNC CMM

Experience with FAIRs and in-process quality inspections

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to product quality and continuous improvement

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO standards preferred)

Strong problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and in a team environment
