Job Description
Responsibilities:
Provides skilled expertise and support for all landscape functions and effectively manages a staff of 6-15 members and contractors depending on the season.
Oversees and provides quality control for the association’s landscape operations that utilize internal labor, for an area covering approximately 370 acres.
Performs all employee timekeeping functions within the workday performance and time management tracking system.
Incorporates the facilities management work order system to assign daily work orders and tasks.
Trains and develops crews to achieve quality results.
Maintains two rental venues and one equipment shop.
Upkeeps of all grounds crew equipment such as: tractors and attachments, UTVs, weed eaters, and trucks.
Works with staff and contractors to ensure irrigation for the association is properly maintained.
Coordinates association meetings.
Remains knowledgeable of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. needed to maintain the facilities of the association.
Displays a friendly and positive attitude for the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in groundskeeping and management.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Certifications/Licenses: Current, valid driver’s license.
Must pass all applicable background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
· A degree in horticulture, turf management, landscape design, or arboriculture.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sustain physical activity both inside and outside and work in extreme temperatures on occasion.
Capable of standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting objects from 1 to 75 pounds.
