Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 20 Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians across three shifts. This role ensures efficient scheduling, coordination, and execution of maintenance tasks to support operational reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance technicians across multiple shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.

Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life using maintenance management software.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and safe manner.

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).

Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety personnel to prioritize maintenance efforts in alignment with plant objectives.

Provide hands-on technical support and guidance for complex maintenance activities.

Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance supplies, and coordinate with external vendors as needed.

Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, standards, and training initiatives.

Plan, direct, and assign work orders; manage overtime as necessary.

Train, coach, and mentor team members in line with established maintenance development programs.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical systems preferred.

Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Experience in heavy manufacturing environments such as steel, metals, or related industries is preferred.

Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, PLCs, and welding/fabrication techniques.
