Commercial Project Superintendent

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities of the Superintendent :

Supervise, plan, organize and control all on site resources and logistics for the successful execution of a construction project.

Responsible for job set up, ensuring all necessary project equipment, documents and signage are on site and displayed properly.

Create 2 week lookaheads and manage primary schedules,

Prepare, daily and weekly project record and reports utilizing Procore Construction Management Software.

Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to plans and specifications and adherence to construction schedules. Stopping and re-mediating all work that does not comply.

Expediting and coordinating the work of the subcontractors’ field forces.

Hold and chair weekly subcontractor meetings regarding safety, sequencing, expediting coordination of the project, and keeping written minutes.

Assist the Project Manager with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.

Monitor cost and job costing, forecasting and productivity.

Enforce GCG safety manual, site specific safety program, or OSHA standards, whichever is more stringent.

Report to and advise all construction activities to project manager and company owners.

Requirements/Qualifications of the Superintendent :

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Project Superintendent for a Commercial General Contractor.

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, PROCORE, MS PROJECT, and BlueBeam.

Outstanding communication skills for all members of the team including the customer, coworkers, management, design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Detail-oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude.

Committed to superior customer service.

Willingness to travel as needed.
