Concrete Construction Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician

Job Description

Greenbee is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer to support our engineering and design teams in producing accurate technical drawings, 2D/3D models, and project documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience using CAD software, a strong understanding of drafting standards, and the ability to interpret engineering sketches and specifications.

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented CAD Designer with experience in construction to develop and modify technical drawings, formwork layouts, rebar placement plans, and construction details. This position requires familiarity with construction documents, structural drawings, and the specific requirements of cast-in-place concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings for concrete formwork, foundation plans, rebar detailing, and concrete lift drawings

Translate engineering sketches, specifications, and field notes into construction-ready CAD drawings

Coordinate with field teams to ensure drawings align with construction practices and schedules

Interpret structural and architectural drawings to support site layout and sequencing

Revise drawings based on redlines, RFI responses, and field modifications

Maintain a clean and organized CAD file system, ensuring version control and standard compliance

Assist with quantity take-offs and bill of materials (BOM) generation when needed

Desired Qualifications:

Degree or certification in CAD, Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field

2–5 years of CAD drafting experience in construction or civil/structural engineering

Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus), and knowledge of drawing standards for construction

Understanding of Construction techniques, including rebar detailing and formwork systems

Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, plans, and specificationsCompany Description
