Warehouse/Yard Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a warehouse/yard worker / Forklift operator. This position would involve physically lifting of 60+ pounds at times, loading and unloading trucks of customers and materials that we receive, and having good customer service, relations, and integrity. We deal primarily in heavy duty construction materials revolving around concrete. This position requires that you be here precisely by 6:30 am as this is the time we open up and when our rush is. Warehouse/Yard worker responsible for gathering and loading materials on customer's trucks either by hand or with the use of a forklift. Forklift experience is not required but is recommended.

Responsibilities:

Operate various vehicles for storage or removal of materials

Prepare products and materials for shipment

Load, unload, and stage products and materials

Track and record units of materials handled

Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Experience in general labor, construction, or other related fields

Familiarity with pallet jack, forklift, or other industrial vehicles

Ability to handle physical workload

Strong work ethic

Great customer service

Must have license and reliable transportation

Able to perform tasks as a team as well on your own

Must be able to carry 60+ pounds

We are a small family owned company that supplies construction materials all around Virginia and Maryland. We open up at 6:30 am and we close at 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We are also opened on Saturdays from 6:30 am until Noon.
