Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our daycare team as a Lunch Program Coordinator & Floater Staff Member. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for meal preparation, and thrives in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will manage our daycare’s lunch program, including planning menus, preparing meals, and ensuring nutritional standards are met, while also providing support as a floater for general daycare activities.
Responsibilities
Lunch Program Duties:
Plan nutritious, balanced, and child-friendly weekly or monthly menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
Prepare and serve daily lunches, ensuring proper portion sizes and food safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including dishwashing and food storage.
Manage inventory and place orders for food and supplies as needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
Floater Staff Duties:
Assist teachers and caregivers in supervising and engaging with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions.
Step in as needed to support various classrooms and age groups.
Help maintain a clean and safe daycare environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and common areas.
Provide support during nap times, diaper changes, or toileting as required.
Collaborate with the daycare team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food preparation or meal planning, preferably in a childcare setting.
Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Experience working with young children is a plus.
Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in childcare is a bonus.Company Description
