Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team at the Horizon Fuel Center, Valley Center. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, supporting our mission of community empowerment and cultural preservation.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean windows, mirrors, and countertops; empty trash and recycling bins.

Clean and restock restrooms with supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

Sweep sidewalks, remove debris, and keep the exterior area clean and presentable.

Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Supervisor.

Keep track of cleaning supplies and let the supervisor know when needed.

Perform minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and unclogging drains.

Operate cleaning equipment like vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.

Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.

Assist with special cleaning projects or seasonal tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or management.

Fill propane tanks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning work is a plus.

Available weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Will be working indoors and outdoors.

Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently.

Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Dependability and punctuality are essential.

Good communication skills to report issues and work effectively with the store team.
