Pay and Benefits

· Salary Based on experience ($55,000-$60,000) Overtime paid over 40 hours. Note there are 5 hours of overtime built into the regular 5 day 45 hour work week. Other benefits apply after a probationary period. (should be 30- 60 days)

About Bragunier Orchard:

Bragunier Orchard is a 326-acre family orchard located in Indian Springs, Maryland on the MD/PA border, Washington Co., MD

We grow a wide variety of apple trees, and a small amount of peach and nectarine trees. There is a small market to maintain.

Job Description: Orchard Manager

Responsibilities include:

· Maintain and manage the orchard and market including but not limited to:

o Weeding,

o Watering as needed

o Pest and disease monitoring and management

o General upkeep and housekeeping

· Implement tree selection and onsite care

· Recordkeeping of trees planted, fruit shipments and fruit inventory

o Submit to main office weekly or as requested

· Report regularly to Office:

o Challenges

o Needs

o Successes

· Selling fruit at 1-2 farmers markets weekly in the local tri-state area.

· Spray Herbicides / Pesticides (license is required)

· Operate Farm equipment

· Overseeing field work and markets while owners are away.

· Work well with other employees to complete daily work schedule.

· Maintain Facebook page

· Maintain all orchard and market orders including:

o Phone

o In Person

o Social Media

Requirements:

· Excellent physical condition for outdoor field work.

· DOT Health Certificate required.

· Completed degree in Agriculture or related field.

· 5 years of experience in farming, preferably orchard work.

· US driver’s license. A Clean driving record

· No tobacco use (due to risk of infecting produce)

· Bragunier Orchards is a drug free workplace. Violation of drug use is reasoning for immediate termination

· Treat all customers with respect

· Ability to be flexible with schedule changes

· Represent the company in a positive, professional manner

Schedule:

· 8-hour shift

· Day shift
