CMM Programmer

A manufacturing company in Racine, WI is looking for an experienced CMM Programmer to develop and execute accurate inspection programs using PC-DMIS software. This role plays a key part in ensuring manufactured parts meet both internal quality standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities of the CMM Programmer

Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to create efficient CMM programs.

Work with Engineering and Tooling to develop fixtures that simplify CMM setups.

Perform first-article and in-process inspections.

Mark parts as needed to meet customer machining and dimensional requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve measurement issues, including problems related to CMM hardware or programming.

Train and support other team members in CMM programming and inspection techniques.

Complete full dimensional layouts required for PPAP submissions.

Operate multiple CMM machines as needed during production shifts.

Perform regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment.

Requirements of the CMM Programmer

Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Proven experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS software, especially for complex part geometries.

Strong knowledge of GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings.

Proficiency with CAD tools and inspection planning.

Familiarity with SPC tools and statistical quality control.

This is a 1st shift position with two schedule options: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, or Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with Fridays available for overtime. *DIRECT HIRE*

Pay is $29.00 - $35.00 an hour, based on experience
