About the Role:

The Full Time Kitchen Lead at our Sabattus Store will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, helping to lead the team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional service. This position is responsible for helping the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. The Kitchen Lead will also be instrumental in helping to train and mentor new kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Additionally, this role involves helping the KM to manage inventory, order supplies, and ensures that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained. Ultimately, the Kitchen Lead will contribute to creating a positive experience for our customers through excellent food quality and service management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience in a kitchen leadership role, such as a sous chef or kitchen manager.

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.

Experience with menu planning and cost control.

Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared and presented according to company standards.

Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.

Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage food costs to ensure profitability.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes based on customer feedback.
