Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and talented Pharmacy Technician Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy technician team, ensuring efficient workflow, compliance with regulations, and exceptional patient care. You will be actively involved in the day-to-day tasks, assist in the workflow throughout the day, and support the team in managing prescription volumes. How Youll Help Us Improve Healthcare

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor the pharmacy technician team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Ensure that all technicians are adhering to company policies and procedures.

Operational Efficiency:

Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure timely and accurate prescription processing.

Assist in checking prescriptions and managing high prescription volumes.

Coordinate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize workflow and patient care.

Provide assistance in workflow as needed on a daily basis to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accrediting body standards.

Maintain thorough documentation and reporting as required by regulatory agencies.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels, order medications, and manage supply chain logistics.

Ensure proper storage and handling of medications in compliance with safety standards.

Patient Interaction and Support:

Address patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.

Provide patient education on medication use and potential side effects.

Assist in patient case reviews and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans.

Quality Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance pharmacy services.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.

Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure the highest standards of care.

A Few Things About You

High school or equivalent (Required)

Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Customer Service Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Ohio (Required)

PTCB Certification (Required)

Qualities we are looking for

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in using pharmacy information systems and technology.

Certifications:

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is required.

Valid pharmacy technician license in the state of practice.
